Close-up: Teacher's Day
8:18 AM

Woots! Its the time of the year again, where emotions flow... where people cry... where dreams are met... where teachers are heroes that rein down from heaven... (i guess i am getting carried away... ) Okay --> So lets move on...

Actually I have been visiting the blog a few times, just in time to notice the many people who spam the word : 'UPDATE!' Well, I seriously guess its time to! Looking back its been a month! A month of horror? A month of excitement. Ever since the Shanghai buddies have left, it seems so weird. Chinese lessons are now what we will deem as 'boring' ( no offence - couldnt have thought of another word! ><) Yeah.. then came the olympics with the spectacular Michael Phelps and extrodinary Usain Bolt. 33 world records were broken and 70+ Olympic records too. 16 days of wonderous activities where people cheer and cry. I guess its like that yesterday. Now... Teacher's Day was always something exciting. Where all the teachers get gifts - but at the same time its where we think about them - both sacrifices and achievements.

At our school yesterday, I was let into the staff room ( not doing nothing... I had a price to pay afterwards... >< ) Hahas, carrying books and stuff in of course. It was here when I happen to glance at this poster-like thing where it read : A superior teacher demonstrates, A great teacher inspires. ( I forgot the first two lines though ) However, this blew my mind in some way - that the teacher's have their personal goals in class. It does seem weird I said this, but usually I don't really think too deep into things (Its normal for humans to be superficial... ) So yea, I realise much more than what I have expected to sow on that day. And before that, I saw my teacher dance her salsa... (10 seconds of shocking display - which I mean GOOD) I knew she was a salsa teacher, but did not know she could have danced so well. I usually just watch youtube vids for the show ' So you think you can dance' , but now I guess Singapore has its own talent pool as well. And during our celebration, I found and figured out how excellent life could be - not just displaying our talents but reflecting of what we have done. The simplistic and nolgalstic moments it gave us was far too wonderful. It seriously shocked me somehow, when my classmates danced the 3e5 version of ACES day, when everyone was laughing out loud and joking during the games.

Well, it reminded me of my time on Mount Faber - where my dad usually take me when I am young. The site of the oasis for me had been always there since, watching the night skyline viewing towards sentosa. The cable car rides over the ocean towards the miniature island was also very wonderful. Hahas, the good 'ole times, which we remember. I guess this eye-opening Teacher's Day would also make the list. And nonetheless to Ms Wu, Mrs Chua, Mr Lim, Ms Xin, Ms Wan, Mr Tan, Mdm Choo, Mrs V, Ms Hafizah and to other teachers as well, one memorable Happy Teachers' Day!

(P.S. I believe I have gotten out of hand jumping from time to time but there has been so much happening which I did not have the time to blog, so I will try to preserve my style of writing 'compo' posts soon!! =D )
